MANILA – The Manny Pacquiao-Oscar Larios fight will finally be held on July 2. And, as bonus, three more Filipino stars will also take on Mexican foes to highlight the Philippine-Mexico ring rivalry. Pacquiao slugs it out with the hard-hitting Mexican at the Araneta Coliseum, ending weeks of speculation as to the exact date of the fight expected to draw a record crowd. The Pacquiao-Larios tiff for the WBC international super featherweight belt is the main event in a card that will be a Philippines versus Mexico affair. Jimrex Jaca, Randy Suico and Gerry Penalosa are also seeing action on that day against Mexican foes. The card was officially announced in a press conference at the Manila Hotel yesterday with Shelly Finkel and Nick Khan, Pacquiao’s American managers, in attendance. Also present was renowned trainer Freddie Roach, who accompanied Pacquiao. “This will be an active and very exciting fight,” said Finkel.
