Hobbies: Digital Camera Basics-resolution, Exposure, Focus, and Storage

Resolution

The amount of detail that a camera can capture is called the resolution, and it is measured in pixels. The more pixels a camera has, the more detail it can capture and the larger pictures can be without becoming blurry or "grainy." High-end consumer cameras can capture over 12 million pixels. Some professional cameras support over 16 million pixels (megapixels), or 20 million pixels for large-format cameras. For comparison, it has been estimated that the quality of 35mm film is about 20 million pixels.

Hobbies: Lawn Repair and Renovation

When repairing or renovating lawns, specialized equipment can increase effectiveness and make the job much easier. Match equipment to the task that needs to be done for best results.

Aerating machines that actually pull out soil cores are suggested for use on lawns.

As mentioned already, core aerification is an important and highly recommended practice for many lawns. This process is useful to help reduce soil compaction and thatch, improve surface drainage, and improve conditions prior to overseeding. Core aerifiers insert hollow tines into the lawn and pull out plugs of soil. Size of cores removed will depend on the machine used, soil moisture, and type of soil. Core spacing also varies with the specific machine being used. Machines can be rented or aerifying services are available for hire.

Articles/Stories: Asians press Family Unity

Filams Join Capitol Hill Demonstration

WASHINGTON D.C. – Asian Pacific Americans, including Filipino Americans who came from Los Angeles to New York city, held their own two-day rally on Capitol Hill to urge Congress to “Keep Families Together” and reject President Bush’s proposal to eliminate the family reunification provision in the current US immigration law.

Dubbed as the historic Asian Pacific American National Mobilization, the rally was separate from the nationwide May day demonstration staged by Hispanic groups demanding the legalization of some 12 million illegal immigrants. But other activist Filipino American groups joined the nationwide May 1 immigration demonstration in major cities in the US.

Tech Tips & Updates: Cloning your Hard Drive and Saving Every Bit of Data

They cloned a sheep once, and that sheep had every thing similar to its clone source, except of course it's memories. With your hard drive on the other hand, you can copy its memory, every last bit of it, and restore it on a completely different hard drive.

Cloning your hard drive is something that a person needs to do or at least wants to do, once in their life. The fact is hard drives go bad sometimes, and other times people plain old just want to get a new one with more storage capacity. Either way, wouldn't it be nice to be able to get a new hard drive and make it have the exact same data as your old one, so you could pick up right where you left off?
