A Manila policeman found himself in jail after he was nabbed by his colleagues for allegedly mulcting money from an American in Ermita district Dec. 18.
Charged with robbery extortion, illegal
arrest and acts of lasciviousness was P03 Eduardo Cayabyab, 34, assigned to the
District Withholding Section of the Manila Police District. Also arrested and
charged were his civilian cohorts identified as Ronald Caparros, 25, of Sta.
Ana, Manila and Larry de la Cruz, 22, of Tramo Street, Pasay City.
The American, Evan Turner, who was with
two women in a taxi were held by the three who demanded money.
