Letters: Request info

Dear sir,

My name is Claire Cororaton and I am an IB Business student at Marshall High SChool. Im am doing a business paper regarding “Asian Imports”, a small store which contains Filipino, Indonesian, Malaysian store. I am exploring the possibilities of expanding the reach of their promotions policy, and venturing out into the use of advertisements in newspapers or magazines.

In this context, I would like to ask for information regarding the distribution of your paper (ex. Where is it sold? What area has the greatest amount of subscriptions?) and also, the cost of placing an ad in your newspaper. Any type of information or statistics regarding your paper would be extremely helpful as well.

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.

Hoping for your prompt response,

Claire Cororaton

Ms. Cororaton, thank you for your inquiry. The Manila Mail is a 16-year-old Filipino American, tabloid-sized, color fortnightly newspaper in Washington, D.C. Main distribution area is Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. We print from 5,000 to 7,000 copies per issue and up to 15,000 on special  issues. Distribution is free. About 10 per cent of the copies we print are sent to paid subscribers who want to receive their copies at home. Outlets are Filipino and Asian stores, the Philippine embassy and other community centers. Ad rates are furnished upon request by those interested in advertising in the newspaper.- The Manila Mail.
