Philippine News: Dog fighting in Antipolo

Three Thai nationals including 11 others were arrested during a raid by police of a cockpit arena where dog fighting with illegal betting early this month in Antipolo City. Senior Supt. Freddie Panen, Rizal police director, named the foreigners as Sina Kittiya Boonyang, 23; Timothy Dharmajiva, 37; and Phanuwat Nunthawat, 43. They face charges for violating the Animal Welfare Act of 1998. Also arrested were other Filipnos. Panen said the bust was made around 8:30 p.m. at the Kaysakay Cockpit in Sitio Kaysakay, Barangay Inarawan.
