Events: Keyboard concert set in Ft. Washington, MD

The MPG Keyboard Artists and Friends, Inc. will present 25 keyboard artists of the Marilou Padilla-Gallardo Studio in their 2007 gala concert and award ceremony at 7 p.m. on June 16 at the John Addison Concert Hall, Harmny Hall Regional Center in Fort Washington, Maryland.

Dubbed as “An evening of music and memories, the concert’s theme will be “down memory lane” featuring selections from the 30s to the 50s, from movies, jazz, rhythm and blues into pop music of today. Classical and Filipino masterpieces will also be highlighted. It will be hosted by (ret.) Lt. Col. Michael and Catherine Carroll. For info, call (301) 567 7973.

Also on June 9, 40 students of Mrs. Gallardo will hold a matinee piano concert at11 a.m. at St. Columba Church’s Fr. Dewan Hall in Oxon Hill.

MPG is a non-profit organization sponsoring cultural and concert community events to promote awareness in the performing arts. Mrs. Gallardo is a noted pedagogue and multi-awarded piano teacher.
